Two Medi-CareFirst Plans: Deductible and No Deductible Plans
Medi-CareFirst offers two levels of coverage to choose from:
Medi-CareFirst Rx $0 Deductible Plan — no deductible but slighter higher copays $35.04 monthly premium
Medi-CareFirst Rx $250 Deductible Plan has an annual deductible but smaller copays $34.78 monthly premium
NOTE: Members must continue to pay Part B premium if not otherwise paid by Medicaid or a third party
How the benefits work:
A one-month supply of drugs is 34 days vs. 30 days
A three-month supply of drugs is 90 days
• Members are not required to use a mail order pharmacy for a 90-day supply of drugs
• However, if a member uses a retail pharmacy instead of our in-network mail-order pharmacy (Walgreens), the member pays the copay PLUS the cost difference between retail and mail-order prices, if any.
